What is the difference between C13 R1390 and E13 L1800?

The printhead is the same in the R1390 & L1800 DTF Printer. The main differences between the R1390 and L1800 are:

  • Motherboard: The L1800 features a more stable motherboard compared to the R1390.
  • Output Platform Heating Feature: The L1800 includes output platform heating designed for customers who live in cold weather area, which helps prevent ink flow and ensures optimal print quality. This feature is not available on the R1390.
  • Power Ink Flush: If the printhead is clogged, the L1800 can try to repair the printhead by completing a powerful ink flushing, so the life of the nozzle will be longer. However, the R1390 does not have this powerful flushing function.

Is the RIP software compatible with Mac OS?

Compatibility depends on the model you purchased. Our RIP software is officially supported only on Windows. To use it on macOS, you need to install a Windows virtual machine using virtualization tools (e.g., Parallels Desktop).

For C13 / E13 / L8 / L13:
Only Macs with Intel CPUs (generally models produced before 2021) are compatible.
For U13 / U13D / VF13:
Fully compatible in a virtual environment.

So far so good

Putting the printer together was pretty simple following the instructions. Software installation was easier than I thought even though some things were in Chinese and not English. Seeing the pictures in the manual was kind of hard, maybe a link in the manual to look it up on a computer would be easier than a QR code to look it up on the phone. Drawing the ink through especially the white was a pretty messy process. The first couple of prints were hard to do but I finally figured it out and am impressed with the test print I did. I am purchasing a sliding cutter to put on the black plate as the print comes out to cut the film as it is hard to cut without wasting a lot of film with scissors. Overall I am pretty satisfied with the printer so far.

Excellent tech support

Received this printer on the 15th, a full four days ahead of schedule. Had initial difficulties getting printer to run nozzle cleaning. Contacted tech support who scheduled an appointment for today at 8 PM. I spoke with Joy at Ink Sonic who spent 2 hours walking me through researching and then resolving the issue. Very simple solution once we knew what was going on. Also set up the software to allow for printing. Joy was perfect as a tech support. And I’ll happily ask for her again! Color quality is excellent!
