DTF transfer films are generally divided into two types: cold peeling and hot peeling. The difference lies in the process of film tearing after hot pressing.

Hot peel DTF transfer film can be peeled immediately after pressing, with faster production speed but with extra caution so that it will not smudge or warp because the adhesive and ink are soft. Cold peel film, conversely, must cool down to an extent where it can be peeled, which minimizes the process time slightly but gives better adhesion, better resolution, and greater hardness, making prints more resistant to cracking or peeling over time due to fading.
